His new spouse, Ms. Ananya Verma, is also a prominent bureaucrat, serving as an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer within the same state. The career trajectory of Mr. Raghav Sharma, an IAS officer from the 2001 batch of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, exemplifies the demanding and multifaceted nature of the Indian Administrative Service. Over two decades, his professional journey has been characterized by a diverse array of challenging assignments, strategic leadership, and a consistent commitment to public welfare. His postings have traversed critical sectors, including finance, rural development, urban administration, and education, showcasing a broad administrative acumen and adaptability.

Early Career, Education, and Foundational Postings

Born in 1978, Mr. Sharma’s academic foundation was laid with an undergraduate degree in Economics from the prestigious St. Stephen's College, Delhi University. He further pursued a Master's degree from the Delhi School of Economics, equipping him with a strong analytical framework crucial for policy formulation and economic governance. His initial postings included a crucial stint as Assistant Collector in Jabalpur district from 2003 to 2005, where he gained invaluable grassroots experience. Subsequently, he served as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Sagar from 2005 to 2007.
